ABOUT MONICA

I’m originally from Lima, Peru and have been teaching Spanish in the Phoenix area for over 16 years. I was a Spanish professor at Thunderbird, the School of Global Management for eight years until the school merged with ASU.

I started my own private Spanish tutoring services in 2005, offering private, individual and small group classes, in-home and office tutoring specifically in Scottsdale and Phoenix. I also offer online classes via Skype or Zoom for students located outside my driving range (e.g. Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert).

I have a truly profound knowledge of Spanish grammar. I am a fun, reliable and flexible tutor.

My passion for traveling and culture has taken me throughout Central and South America and Spain for business and leisure which gives me a very well-rounded understanding of the differences and regionalisms of our Latin culture.
